The Great Nation 2025 Political Party
The Great Nation 2025 Political Party
Name: The Great Nation 2025 Political Party
Ideology: Radical transparency, ethical governance, anti-political dynasty, citizen participation, and merit-based leadership
Membership Requirement
Signed and Notarized Statesman’s Affidavit (2025):
A legally binding document where candidates voluntarily declare their campaign promises, with measurable obligations and a resignation penalty for non-compliance.
Self-Imposed Limit on Political Dynasty:
Members must commit to not pass positions to legal heirs or spouses, and to not appoint family members to key government positions. Only one family member may hold an elective position per election cycle.
A point-based system, similar to Canadian or Australian visa applications, may be recommended for the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to determine eligibility. Family members must choose among themselves who will file candidacy based on merit.
Mandatory Debate Initiation and Participation Using the "Fair Debate Framework with Questions from the Citizens":
A zero-cost, unscripted public debate system designed to filter out unqualified candidates and allow voters to evaluate them based on substance rather than wealth or connections.
Public SALN Requirement:
Members must publish their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN), in accordance with the 1987 Constitution, with sensitive information redacted for privacy.
Property Ownership Limitation:
Members are required to voluntarily limit ownership to a maximum of three residential properties, with a combined lot size not exceeding 1,500 square meters. This is intended to discourage excessive land accumulation and promote modest living among public officials. Excess property or land acquired before joining the party must be redirected to public infrastructure projects such as schools and hospitals.
Full-Time Position Commitment:
All members must treat public office as a full-time job, working from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, similar to other public servants and private employees, with standard vacation and sick leave limitations.
Policy Implementation Commitment (80/20 Rule):
Members are expected to commit to implementing at least 80% of the proposed laws outlined in The Great Nation 2025. The remaining 20% may be subject to public debate, revision, or rejection to allow for open discourse and avoid confirmation bias.
No Foreign Property Ownership:
Members are prohibited from owning properties abroad, reflecting the belief that true public servants invest in their own nation and the common good, rather than in foreign assets. This policy underscores the opportunity cost of corruption and excessive personal wealth.
One Bank Account with Deposit Cap:
Members are encouraged to maintain only one bank account, with a recommended deposit cap of ₱10 million or an amount deemed sufficient for retirement. Any wealth beyond this cap, acquired prior to party membership, must be redirected toward building public schools and hospitals.
No Investment in Speculative Assets:
Members are banned from investing in speculative assets such as stocks, cryptocurrencies, or any instrument whose primary purpose is capital appreciation. This measure emphasizes the party's principle that public servants should prioritize investing in people and the greater good over personal financial gain.
Vision and Purpose
Purpose: To rebuild public trust in governance by setting a new global standard of leadership rooted in measurable integrity, citizen engagement, and legal accountability.
Vision: A great nation led by principled leaders, shaped by law-abiding citizens, and protected from corruption, impunity, and hereditary politics.
